Altech would like to welcome the newest member of our team, Chip!
Chip began his career at Altech at the start of 2019 after completing his W-2 form and going through training. From what we have seen so far during his interview and first months in the office, he has a chipper personality, is very efficient, and most importantly, bright. Chip has indicated to us he can work for over 200,000 hours before showing signs of fatigue, but just less than 15%!
Born and raised in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Chip came to the US on a scholarship for bowling. On his free time, Chip bowls. On his busy days, he bowls. We are very excited to have Chip on board with us and we expect great things from him!

As Altech continues to grow as a company and leader in the manufacture and distribution of high quality LED Lighting Fixtures, we are humbled by the reputation we have built to attract the best of the best in the industry to work alongside us in driving our mission and values forward.
Jorge Rodriguez
Jorge joined Altech Electronics in January 2015 after 20 years in commercial real estate. While at Altech, he has been instrumental in establishing the Altech brand and making it a name recognized within the industry as a leader in quality high-performance LED fixtures. By establishing relationships with many of the major distributors, ESCO companies and LMCs within the US, Jorge has gained experience in many facets within the lighting world. Jorge has successfully overseen the supply and implementation for thousands of projects across many verticals — most notably universities, government and municipal projects, car dealerships, and the dairy industry. In his role as VP of Business Development, Jorge will continue to identify new vertical markets while providing service and support to existing and new customers, as well as his National Sales Team. Jorge is a lifelong resident of Southern California and a graduate of Whittier College with a BA in Marketing and Management. He is happily married to his wife Teresa of over 20 years and has a son in college and a daughter in high school. On his free time, Jorge enjoys spending time with his family and their two dogs whether at the beach or on a hike.
Meade Hinton
Meade has nearly 10 years of experience in the LED Lighting Industry, in which time he has established himself as a leader in the technology of this growing market. Meade has managed distribution channels, as well as conducted detailed energy audits for all major sectors, including commercial office, healthcare, government, and education. In doing so, he has gained extensive experience in general lighting, service and consulting, and developed a robust knowledge in LED, IoT, Solar and energy procurement, to name a few. Prior to his involvement with energy-efficient lighting, Meade was responsible for sales and business development in the medical device industry and Information Technology, specifically medical software. Meade currently resides in VA, has three older children, and in his free time enjoys playing and listening to all types of music.
Mike Luke
Mike began his journey at Altech Electronics in 2017 as our inside Distribution Channel Manager. In his time here, Mike has managed distribution accounts such as Walters Wholesale, One Source Distributors, CES and CED, and has demonstrated tremendous knowledge in both Commercial and Industrial LED Lighting solutions. In his new role as a National Sales Manager, Mike will oversee national and regional accounts in California as well as various parts of the Southwest US. We here at Altech are immensely proud of Mike’s accomplishments thus far and are extremely excited to see him fulfill this position and further grow his region. Prior to joining the company, Mike was a touring musician, playing with rock bands in the 80-90’s, surf punk in the 2000’s, to modern bands of today. He currently resides in Long Beach, CA with his girlfriend and dog. Mike’s favorite teams are the local LA Rams, Lakers and Angels.

January 15, 2019To start the new year on the right foot, Altech is thrilled to welcome two new members of our growing family! With a combined 60 years of experience in the lighting industry, they are poised to bring a new and exhilarating dimension to our sales and marketing efforts.
Hector Gannon
Hector Gannon will be joining us as our Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the lighting industry for over 30 years. Hector has held leadership positions in lighting and electrical services, distribution, and manufacturing through his roles as Vice President at ABM, Sylvania Lighting Services, and CED. Hector currently resides in San Diego, California and enjoys his free time with his 4 grandchildren.
Chris LeVeck
Chris LeVeck will be joining us as one of our National Sales Managers. He has been in the lighting industry his whole life and grew up with his family’s business wholesaling lighting. Throughout his career, Chris has sold millions in lighting supplies, service, and consulting, with extensive knowledge in LED, IoT, and energy procurement to name a few. His last startup, Facility Innovations Group, placed on INC5000’s fastest growing private companies in the country. In addition to being a business owner, Chris has served as Chief Operating Office and Executive Vice President of Sales for multi-million dollar companies nationwide. He currently resides in Austin, Texas and enjoys playing soccer on the weekends.

Our 10 Year Wrap-Around Warranty LED UFO Waterproof High Bays, Architectural and Hyper Series Area Lights, and Architectural Series Floodlights are now DLC PREMIUM!
Altech’s outstanding pioneering efforts have yielded lumen efficacy unmatched in the industry today. Although the Premium designation calls for a minimum range of 110-120 Lm/W for outdoor lighting and 90-130 Lm/W for indoor lighting, all of Altech’s DLC Premium fixtures are producing 165 Lm/W! With the substantial increase in wattage reduction as a result of our superior product efficiency, you can capitalize on better rebate rates for your projects around the country! In addition, Altech’s energy efficient fixtures are compatible with various integral controls, which translates to smarter lighting and even more energy savings.

While other US Suppliers are increasing their prices to coincide with the rising cost of raw materials, Altech’s prices remain unchanged due to the fact we manufacture our own products, which are imported as finished goods straight from our factory. New Altech Hyper Area Light Series!
June 14, 2018Debuted to much anticipation and rave reviews at Lightfair 2018, our new Hyper Area Light Series have pushed the boundary of light engineering and performance further than ever before. They were designed to be compact and modern-looking, while still retaining the outstanding light output Altech’s fixtures have become famous for. As always, Altech’s new models are supported by our unmatched 10 Year Wrap-around Warranty and competitive value pricing.
Altech’s Hyper Area Light Series is by far the most remarkable pole light we have manufactured to date. The rugged die cast aluminum housing and IP67 rating preserves the functionality of the fixture in even the toughest conditions. The high quality chips the LED boards come equipped with are protected by clear polycarbonate lens, which are both fireproof and shatterproof. These chips emit light levels of 185 lumens per watts, which translates to significantly more energy savings and securing of better rebates.
The Hyper Area Light is dimmable by default and has a built in heatsink that facilitates the dissipation of heat, sustaining the light for a longer period of time. The fixture is rated to last 27 years when operating for 10 hours a day! It is simply astonishing to know all these features are encased in a housing no more than 4 in. thick. In addition, the different options for color temperature, distribution optics, mounting, finish and controls mean the Hyper Area Light is versatile to various project requirements and applications.
The Hyper Area Light comes in two sizes and eight different wattages. The medium sized lines consists of the 60 Watts, 90 Watts, 120 Watts, and 150 Watts fixtures. Lightfair International 2018 Recap
May 15, 2018We would like to start off by saying a big thank you to everybody who stopped by our booth at Lightfair International 2018 in Chicago, Illinois! It was a pleasure to reconnect and strengthen the relationships with Altech’s current clients and also introduce ourselves to new visitors. There were many reasons for us to be excited about Lightfair and the tremendous success of this year’s convention sets the tone for the rest of 2018.
Our marketing and design department worked tirelessly for months to put together an exhibit unlike any other. Our 20’x20’ booth was a work of art, creating an engaging space for customers at the center with surrounding luminous pillars equipped with our industry leading LED fixtures. The booth was specifically designed to be clean and simple, accentuating the award-winning light performance of our fixtures.
At this year’s Lightfair, we showcased our tried and trusted LED fixtures: Shoebox, Area Lights, UFO Waterproof High Bays, Industrial and Retail High Bays, Wall Packs, Flood Lights, Vapor Tights, Troffers, and Canopies — all with built-in dimming capabilities. While customers surveyed our impressive LED fixtures, our sales team welcomed them with professionalism and extensive knowledge of our products.
Furthermore, Altech debuted our much anticipated new Area Light fixtures, yielding well over 70,000 lumens, at this year’s Lightfair — topped with our world-renowned 10 Year Wrap-Around Warranty and an IP67 rating! We also introduced our newly designed Flood Light that incorporates state of the art reflectant technology that reduces glare while still producing 175 lumens per watt. These results were made possible due to months of ground breaking research from our engineering department to continue our primary mission of manufacturing the highest quality fixture in the industry at value pricing.
To celebrate a successful first day at the convention, Altech hosted a memorable Skyline Cruise. Anchors away at 7PM, we cruised down the famous Chicago River, giving everyone on board a close glimpse and tour of iconic Chicago landmarks such as the Civic Opera Building and Merchandise Mart. The highlight of the night came about an hour into the journey when we sailed out onto Lake Michigan. As the sun set on the horizon, the city lights flickered on, giving Altech’s valued customers a breathtaking view of the Chicago Skyline. It was a beautiful night full of conversation and laughter under a clear starry night.
Our team would like to express our gratitude and honor at meeting everyone and seeing how valuable the Altech brand is to them.
