There are over 30,000 LED manufacturers in China. Half of them are trading houses. Out of that quantity, there are only about 30 or 40 viable manufacturers that mass produce in the hundreds of thousands per year and primarily for the tier-one OEMs. Out of the 30 – 40 or so, there are only a handful that control their supply chain like we do, such as die casting, powder coating, and cable manufacturing. Out of those few, Altech/Ultron uniquely upholds verifiable high quality standards in terms of components and design backed by value-added service.
Our manufacturing facility has been manufacturing for close to 30 years. Much of the production involves mass producing fixtures for tier one OEMs.
Temperature test: In adherence to our premium quality management practices, Ultron conducts heat tests for all finished products. We expose all our lighting fixtures at their specified maximum operating temperature, which is primarily set at 150° Fahrenheit, for 6 – 8 hours. After the heat exposure period is complete, the factory will evaluate the fixture ensuring it is fully operational before passing it onto distribution.
Water test: We are also one of the few factories that sample tests large production batches of our IP67 fixtures by submerging them in water at a depth of 3 feet for 12 hours, exceeding the IP67 standard test of 30 minute submersion at a comparable depth. Our factory technicians will then open the fixture casing and thoroughly inspect the interior of the fixture for any water breaches. If none, the fixture is tested to be fully functional before being passed onto distribution. If any issues are encountered, the whole related production batch will be returned to production for corrective measures to be applied.
We use non-recycled aluminum alloys because it produces a much stronger and sturdier frame and more readily retains heat unlike recycled metal, which most manufacturers apply to take advantage of the 20 – 30% cost savings.
We use high-end Philips chips that depreciate less than 15% over 150,000 hours compared to most manufacturers who use chips that depreciate 50% over 50,000 hours, for the purposes of cost savings.
Our higher lumen package models use chips that depreciate even less than our standard 15% despite producing exceedingly more light.
Our heat sinks are deep and well-positioned on the fixture compared to most manufacturers that produce shallow heat sinks to reduce material cost, but ultimately compromise the longevity of the fixture.
Our boards absorb heat twice as fast as other more commonly used boards.
Our top models offer a 10 Year Wrap-Around Warranty and are DLC Premium Listed. They also can withstand continuous 150 degree Fahrenheit exposure and still maintain their L70 150,000 standard.
The new aerodynamic design of our new models allow for more ventilation/cooling than our previous models and certainly compared to other supplier designs.
We offer free photometric studies that produce high quality meaningful photometric reports with a turn around time of 24-48 hours.
We can customize the color temperature (3000K – 5700K) and light distribution of our fixtures.
We offer free live samples for 30 days. We’ll bear the cost of returning if it does not meet your expectation.
For RMA failure claims, we immediately send out replacements first, with return labels attached to the replacement box to return any defective products. Our current failure rate is less than 1%, involving hundreds of thousands of our current product line.
